Instructor Development

Dakota County Technical College

About this event

Instructor Development Day at Dakota County Technical College.

This event is to better prepare our instructors with out of car instruction techniques.  We are adapting best practices and will instruct with these methods at this development day.  Some of the methods include pace and chase, lead/follow, and corner observation. These methods have been around for a while, and clubs around the country are incorporating them in lieu of in-car coaching.  The exact details of the Instruction Day are being worked out as we “speak”. There will likely be opportunity to run exercises as well - something we don’t practice much - maybe some lapping as well.

We have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation including current federal, state and local orders and guidance, as well as reports of infection rates across our region and the United States. We will require masks be worn when not in your car.
